Embed the program widget
The program and speaker widgets publish your agenda and your speakers directly on your external website, updating automatically whenever you edit a session in Eveos.
Creating a widget, the search bar, the carousel, the embed code and how caching works are common to every content type and are described in Embed the exhibitor widget. This page covers what is specific to the program and the speakers.
- Open the relevant session.
- In the sidebar, open “Settings” then “Widgets”.
- Select “Create widget”.
- Under “Content type”, choose Program or Speakers.
- Pick a “Template”, then save.
Program widget
Section titled “Program widget”Available templates
Section titled “Available templates”On top of the grid, list, carousel and compact layouts, the program has a template of its own:
- “Timeline”: chronological view with a time gutter on the left, a dotted vertical axis and one card per session. Days are separated by a date header.
Filter which program items are shown
Section titled “Filter which program items are shown”The “Filters” section restricts the items included in the widget:
- “Types”: conference, workshop, keynote, panel, networking, break, ceremony, entertainment, other.
- “Categories”: your program categories.
- “Tags”: only items carrying all the listed tags are shown.
- “Date from” and “Date to”: bounds the published period.
Display options
Section titled “Display options”The “Display options” section controls the card content:
- “Disable click”: cards are no longer clickable and the detail popup never opens.
- “Show type”, “Show category”, “Show place”.
- “Show end time” and “Show duration”.
- “Show speakers”, plus “Show role” and “Show company”.
With the Timeline template, “Pin the date while scrolling” (on by default) keeps the day header visible as long as its sessions are on screen — valuable on a multi-day program.
Highlight the session in progress
Section titled “Highlight the session in progress”The “Highlight the session in progress” setting turns the widget into a live display during the event:
- the running session gets a “Live” badge and an accent highlight;
- finished sessions get a discreet “Ended” badge and are dimmed.
The display updates on its own, with no page reload: states are re-evaluated every 30 seconds, and immediately when the visitor returns to the tab.
Once enabled, three extra options appear:
- “Hide past sessions”: finished sessions disappear from the list instead of being dimmed. On the Timeline, a fully elapsed day also loses its date header.
- “Keep marking outside the programme”: by default nothing is marked once the last slot has passed, to avoid showing a fully greyed-out widget the day after the event. Enable this to keep marking beyond that point.
- “End of event message”: text shown once every session is over. Defaults to “The event has ended”.
