Hosting and data location

The Eveos platform relies on several specialized cloud services for application hosting, data storage, authentication and sending communications.

The main application processing as well as data and file storage are located in France.

This page describes the components of the Eveos infrastructure, their role and their location. It can be shared with your organization’s IT, security, procurement or compliance teams.

Component Provider Location Role
Eveos backend Microsoft Azure France Central API and application processing
Frontend server functions Vercel Paris (cdg1) Server-side processing of the Next.js web app
Database MongoDB Atlas on AWS Paris (eu-west-3) Application data storage
Database backups MongoDB Atlas on AWS Paris (eu-west-3) Backups and restoration
File storage Microsoft Azure Storage France Central Documents, images and application files
Authentication Amazon Cognito Paris (eu-west-3) User authentication
Transactional emails Amazon SES Paris (eu-west-3) Emails sent from the platform

The Eveos APIs and main application processing run on Microsoft Azure in the France Central region, on an Azure App Service (Linux) resource dedicated to the platform.

The backend receives requests from the application and handles business processing as well as exchanges with the various storage services.

The Eveos web application uses Next.js and Vercel. The server functions used for the dynamic processing of the interface are configured to run in the Paris (cdg1) region.

Vercel is the application layer of the architecture: it does not store the platform’s business data, which resides in the database and file storage described below.

The platform’s application data is stored in MongoDB Atlas, on Amazon Web Services infrastructure located in Paris (eu-west-3).

The cluster used by Eveos is a dedicated cluster based on a replicated set of several nodes (replica set) to ensure service availability.

Database backups are also stored in the AWS Paris (eu-west-3) region.

The platform benefits from automatic backups as well as a point-in-time recovery mechanism, allowing data to be restored to a specific moment if needed.

Application files and documents are stored in Microsoft Azure Storage in the France Central region.

The storage uses local replication (Locally Redundant Storage) within the configured Azure region: redundancy copies remain in the same geographic region.

Depending on the features used, this storage may include:

  • files imported into the platform;
  • documents and images;
  • graphic assets and media related to events;
  • files generated by the platform.

Eveos user authentication is handled by Amazon Cognito, configured in the AWS Paris (eu-west-3) region.

This service manages the elements required to identify and authenticate users. The platform’s business data remains stored in the database described above.

Transactional emails sent by the Eveos platform use Amazon Simple Email Service (SES), configured in the AWS Paris (eu-west-3) region.

The data required to generate and deliver an email is transmitted to this service at sending time, for example:

  • the recipient’s email address;
  • the subject and content of the message;
  • the information required to personalize the email.

SES is a delivery service: it does not constitute permanent storage of application data.

When using the platform, dynamic requests are processed by the Eveos application and then forwarded to the backend hosted on Microsoft Azure in France.

Depending on the action performed, the backend may then access the database, the file storage, or the specialized services required for authentication or email sending.

  • Eveos backend and application processing;
  • file storage.
  • MongoDB Atlas (application database);
  • MongoDB backups;
  • Amazon Cognito (authentication);
  • Amazon SES (transactional emails).
  • server functions of the Next.js web application.

The main application processing, databases, backups, files, authentication and email services used by Eveos are currently configured in regions located in France.

This page describes the hosting and technical location of the platform’s data. Topics related to personal data protection (privacy policy, retention periods, data subject rights, data processing agreement, etc.) are covered in dedicated documents.

For any question on these topics, or to obtain additional information as part of a security questionnaire, contact your usual Eveos representative.
